Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By sending a message to Paisa Agent on WhatsApp, accessing the web dashboard at paisaagent.ai, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Paisa Agent. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Paisa Agent is an AI-powered financial assistant that helps you manage event budgets, track personal expenses, manage vendor payments, and optionally sync bank transaction emails. The Service is available via WhatsApp and the web dashboard.

4. Account and Authentication

• You authenticate using your phone number via OTP verification.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone number and account.
• You must not share your OTP or authentication credentials with others.
• You must provide accurate information when using the Service.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. WhatsApp Communication

By initiating a conversation with Paisa Agent on WhatsApp, you consent to receive messages from us, including transactional messages (expense confirmations, budget alerts, payment reminders), and occasional service updates. You can stop receiving messages at any time by messaging "stop" or "delete my data".

6. Gmail Integration

You may optionally connect your Gmail account to enable automatic bank transaction detection. By connecting Gmail, you grant us read-only access to your email account. You acknowledge that:

• We access your email only to identify and extract bank transaction information.
• We do not read, store, or process non-financial emails.
• You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting from the Settings page.
• Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service without permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or any financial crime

8. Financial Data Disclaimer

Paisa Agent is a budgeting and expense tracking tool. It is not a registered financial advisor, investment advisor, tax consultant, or banking institution. The Service uses AI to process and categorize your financial data, which may occasionally produce inaccurate results. You should always verify extracted transaction details before approving them. We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on information provided by the Service. Any financial insights or suggestions are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional financial advice.

9. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, Paisa Agent uses AI to parse and categorize your financial messages. AI processing may occasionally misinterpret amounts, categories, or transaction details. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any errors. We are not liable for losses arising from AI misinterpretation of your financial data.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Paisa Agent. You retain ownership of the data you provide. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paisa Agent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any. This includes but is not limited to losses arising from AI errors, service downtime, or data processing inaccuracies.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paisa Agent, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via WhatsApp or on the dashboard. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, India.
